Laurel, give me a call on Friday when you get over there and let me know how things look topside. If it rains on Sat. the family will stay home and I'll be wet and alone for the day just like last year. I'll let you know what I'm wearing so I'll be easier to find as I have just gotten uglier since the last time I saw you! :11:
I'm goin' divin', I'm goin' divin'...I am sooooo excited. I can't sleep and it's still 3 days away....

Bill, can we watch movies on Friday night?

Laurel

I'm working with Antonio's to see if I can't show some of the movies on their big screen after the dinner hour so more people can see them. Might even do it at lunch since there is a group of 50+ divers with reservations there.

Laurel- I'll be at El Galleon for the karaoke Friday night (about 9:00 PM) so if you see me there we can find a place to talk. If you are in earlier than that I will be up at the house editing video and you can give me a call there (I PM'ed you with the phone #).

Lexy- I think I've been in the water one day out of the last 3 weeks. Disgusting.

Sky cleared today so I'm going diving with my nephew who is out with my sister from Atlanta. We've wanted to dive together for several years.

Word here is that vis at the Point was 25 ft today despite rain in the morning. Harbor is brown, but that may clear up by the weekend since water conditions are calm. I just hope we don't have another plankton bloom due to the nutrient enrichment from runoff and sunshine (as we did in early January).

I will try to report the conditions we find tomorrow morning, but I'll only be diving the Point.

Am planning to show at least two of my videos (GWS of Guadalupe Island and Munching and Mating in the Macrocystis) at Antonio's this weekend if it gets the owner's OK. The manager has suggested playing them around noon and following the dinner rush (maybe 8:00). Didn't want to interfere with any of the CCD planned events so the noon time showings will be video only, no narration.

i am looking very forward to your videos and tomorrow's dive report! I'll call you when I get to the island and get my stuff settled in the house I'm at.

Although I am slowing evolving into a WWW, I still try to get wet here locally a few times a year. Schedule permitting, the Harbor Cleanup and Chamber Day are 2 days the wife and I try our best to go diving, plus another day or so over at Casino Point and on a couple of dive boats.

The wife and I were looking pretty good to join everyone for the cleanup but I got the call last night that I have to work Saturday afternoon for a big party. Toyed with the idea of rejecting the job but a hosted open bar for 800 people is big $$$.

I did two dives today (Thurs) at the dive park. Conditions were mediocre... about 20 ft vis, current from the north, oscillating surge, temp about 58 degrees.

Well Doc, that sounds a lot better than anything we have going on over here!
We'll see you on Saturday.
