If you want to do wreck diving, then there are places for that. If you want reef diving, then there are great places for that. If you want big animals, there are places for that, etc. etc.
You need to be more specific in your question since there is no "one size fits all" in dive destinations (except if you want to come and dive with us in the Mediterranean in Libya

It depends on what you like. And by place, do you mean location or dive center?
The best place I've been diving was Lembeh, but that's muck dives and not everybody like that.
So tell us more of the sort of diving you like, and there will be more people here to help!

do your DM training where you will get the training to be a good DM, not where the diving is "best".

Best all around diving destination I've been to is Palau.
Not sure where you currently live or where you would want to work as a DM. Many shops in the States would not look as kindly on a DM certification from some other countries unless they knew the reputation of the particular dive center and instructors. Don't know about regions like Europe... maybe they are more open.
