Hi,

We are going to be in Thailand for the month of July and are wondering where the best spots to dive are during that time. We want to do the Similan Islands but there might not be boats going out during those months because of the rough seas. We are interested in either day trips or a 3 or 4 day liveaboard. Any suggestions for July?

Thanks people!

Chris

Similans are closed that time of year.

Best diving in Thailand, year round, is the Andaman Sea IMO. Places like Hin Daeng/Muang, Bida Islands, Shark Point area offer very nice diving and can be reached year round.

Hey Chris--if you are going to be in the country for the entire month of July, you'll have time to dive both in the Andaman Sea and in the Gulf of Thailand (or maybe I misunderstood your post?). If instead you are going to be here for a shorter visit, other factors may come into play in your choice of location.

Hi,

If u are in Thailand during July, due to the monsoon season in the Andaman side we mostly shift to go diving in the Gulf of Thailand either Koh Tao, Koh Nangyuan, Chumporn, Pattaya, Sattahip etc.

Hope you enjoy your diving time in Thailand...
