Hello all.
Will have to replace the broken cover.
The service manual says to use an 'universal cover removal tool' (not shown)... somewhere else I read 'turn counterclockwise or use the universal tool'.
Can you please guide me on removing the ring that secures that cover, if possible without the special tool; or with any clever procedure ? How does it work ?
If anyone knows of a sturdier replacement cover that can be substituted to fit the Alpha7, please advise.
EDITED: Removed OK, wearing a latex glove grasped well and came out easy.

What about suggestions for a sturdier diaphragm cover. The original is some flexible plastic that disintegrates itself just by looking at it...
