Hi folks,
we've just got a C60+housing (so please dont tell us we shouldnt have! :11: ) and Sea&Sea strobe.
Does anyone have this or a similar set-up and or can give any advice about general settings to use u/w?
cheers,

Hold real still when you take the photos. I previously had the C50 and had some blurry photos, but then moved up to the C5050 but the learning curve got a lot higher.

I'm not sure which S&S strobe you've got with it but a good place to start with strobe photography is:
  • first thing you do is turn the 'All Reset' OFF so camera doesn't reset all your settings back to the factory defaults everytime you turn it on
  • ISO 64
  • SHQ
  • use an external focus-assist light (like a diffused dive torch) to avoid out-of-focus pictures
  • for close-up work (about 20 cm - 50 cm) use macro mode
  • Auto White Balance
  • M (manual shooting mode)
  • Flash ON :)lightning SLOW)
  • a good setting to start with is a shutterspeed of 1/125 and F-stop of 5.6
  • use the shutterspeed to control ambient light and motion blur and
  • F-stop for the Depth-Of-Field and strobe exposure
If you don't want to use M shooting mode then for P and A set the flash to Fill-in :)lightning symbol) which will give you better shutterspeeds (and better apertures in P). Use :)lightning SLOW) for S shooting mode.
