Jandals:shocked:

Did I ever tell you the story of our Kiwi Exchange student in Canada?

sorry got distracted..here goes

We decided it would be interesting to have a Student Exchange student. We wanted our son to have the experience and figured it was only fair that we take a student sorta "payback" really "payahead" since we had thestudent before our son went away.

We wound up with a KIWI... guess why?
because they ran out of Aussies

They had already placed all the Aussies and only had a KIWI left... so we figured.. that was as close as we were going to get.. so we agreed.

We didn't have him for the whole term because he didn't like our house rules. Fortunately we insisted on our rules. On Prom night I refused to let him go and stay with before and after the Prom. The young people he had arranged to go stay with had an accident.. one was nearly killed another air lifted to the spinal cord unit in Vancouver. Alcohol and speed involved. Bet he never told his parents how close he came ... :shakehead:

He was a reasonable young man but wanted the Exchange experience to be all about partying and being free of restrictions. 16 year olds don't know about their mortality I am afraid
