I agree, cave line is "the" choice for the application. Simply because it has less failure modes when tied properly (it's biggest failure mode)

We do things a certian way because of thier tried and tested nature. This is not a static disipline and things do change but they need to with good reason after being proven to work better.

Zip ties have thier place, its just not wise to use them to tie off gear such as SPG's, Reg's, lights, etc.

I think we have spent enough of our lives discussing zip ties :)
