I am just in the process of completing my OW certification with my 13 yo son. We are spending the frigid days of a Northeastern winter to complete our online and pool sessions with our local dive shop before heading to Cancun/Cozumel in April to complete our certifications dives.

We cannot wait!

Hi Desert Monkey
Welcome, I'm sure you're going to have a great time in Mexico! The picture below is from a member of SECONN Skin Divers | Diving New England waters since 1963 He dove the other day at Stonington Point: Air temp. 15 f, Water temp 35 f. We also dive locally in the summer! Many local dive shops do shore dives and others are always diving. We have Thunderfish Dive Charters in Mystic. Seconn does a lot of local stuff in CT and RI. Also, we just started a local meetup group, Northeast Scuba Divers (New London, CT) - Meetup Check it out and join! :)
