I'll keep the bugs in mind. If there is a bug out it will find my wife. There could only be one on the island.

We've been to the Aquarium, twice. It's nice, but I get such a feeling of commercialism there, I don't enjoy it as much as well the Monterey Bay Aquarium.

Have not been to Klein Curacao. Some we talked to liked it but most seemed to think it wasn't worth the length of boat ride.:14:

Along with bug spray, bring 'Stop Itch"! It has saved my days and nights from intolerable itching. After October, you will find the bugs more of a problem - rainy season starts and with that, bug season.

Don't forget a hat/visor and strong sunglasses. A light windbreaker jacket is a great idea, especially if you get caught in a down pour. The nights can get a bit "cooler" so slacks and a light linen long sleeve shirt might be nice to have. Too windy for most lose skirts.

Because you are dealing with stiff hotel sheets, a soft 100% cotton or silk sleep-ware is the way to go ... especially after a day in the sun.

My LDS was selling some BC's for $50. They look like hell because they've been in a pool quite a bit. But otherwise they serviced them. So hey, a great travel BC. My DiveRite fills my bag and is more than I need. Don't even plan on taking my drysuit

Definitely take advantage of getting Sunshine's notes, they are great and you'll be glad you have them. As for Sunshine's restaurant, they make great pizza and other homemade food in Westpunt. I guarantee you'll have a great time chatting with Sunshine and David and probably meet some other SB'ers there! She's open Fri, Sat & Sundays. The Alice in Wonderland (AKA Playa Kalki) shore dive near Sunshine's was one of the best dives we did, really nice coral formations.

A week and a few hours more. I tell people we're going on vacation, Oh where, they ask. "Curacao", "Where's that" they almost always ask. We've met two, only two people so far who haven't had to ask. Now living in Idaho we expected that, but here in Atlanta.

Most of our co workers only talk about going on a cruise. And to my surprise many talk how they never leave the ship. The one thing I've always liked about boats is all that water I can jump into.

Since you arrive next week, wanna set up a couple of dives? We like, or I like to offer David as a dive buddy, to go on a night dive at Lagun on Thursdays because there is a BBQ to hit afterwards. Let us know when you plan to dive Alice In Wonderland, it's just down the street. I've forgotten, are you renting a car? There are a lot of really nice shore dives.

SB doesn't seem to always indicate properly an updated thread. Never showed an update for Sunshine's post. Has anyone else noticed that before where a new post doesn't trigger a new update to the thread?

Can anyone tell me if I can get Splenda sweetener at SunsetWaters? And other places?
