    Put it in; you know you want to.

    If you wait until you return from your trip and only then find out the parts work, you'll be kicking yourself for not having it with you on the live aboard.

    I think James needs to quickly print out a spring pad and had carry it to Thailand for Simon...maybe even do a bit of diving while he's there.

    I can't either. A kit and spring pad are on their way to me. I'll leave it until my return from Thailand by which time the parts will be here.

    If the spring pad isn't the issue the nicked seat certainly is, perhaps both in combination', that and the ton of grease all over the seat and orifice.
