Doug Krause:
Flashing depth would be an indication of a max depth alarm -

We have a winner!!!! BING, BING, BING, BING!!!

Thank you Kraken and Doug. I never (intentionally) set the depth limit so it just never dawned on me to check it. Dohhhh!!!! Somehow I inadvertently set it to 30 ft! :lotsalove:

Hey, I'm over 40. I'm allowed my moments!

Also ... thanks Tony for firing off ideas. I bet you never thought it could be something so obvious (and stupid!).

Yea ... problem solved!

do it easy:
Jim- when your computer starts flashing the skull and crossbones, it's time to abort the dive. :D

I thought that just meant pirates up top, don't ascend. Arrrrgggg!!!!

So what does it display when there is a large tanker close by??

It's really cool. The whole computer kinda vibrates. :D

I've dived with the Oceanics for a long, long time. I trust them.

But always remember, plan you dive and dive your plan.

A computer is nothing more than a tool that helps you do a multi-level dive one the fly.
