Locally we call this a bird goby

About 15mm in length, usually found darting around rocks / coral heads

Any idea what the exact species is?

Thanks in advance

Doesn't look a goby to me - I think it is a Triplefin, probably in the genus Enneapterygius. Have a look at the Blotched Triplefin for starters which is found in that area: Enneapterygius ventermaculus, Blotched triplefin If you are not familiar with Fishbase, click on the Pictures link above the small photo for more example photos. Also click on the Related Species link at top right to find other species within the Enneapterygius genus

Best of luck

Thanks Jim,

Spot on I think, my local marine biologist friend is not around at the moment.

Cheers
