Is it just me, or does the word Groupon become an automatic link in everyone's posts here?? That's annoying....

Oh wow. You're right on that. I disabled ABP and sure enough, the link shows up. That's a VERY odd feature to have on a messageboard. Wonder what the rationale is.

Hmm but there are no affiliate IDs on those links so unless Groupon was basing it on a referrer, I'm not clear on how that would work.
It's a skimlink. There have been several previous discussions on skimlink words in the past. Common ones include ebay and walmart
