Halcyon reel resistance

So I just bought another new 200' Light Monkey Reel. And this time I decided to follow the advice of pulling all the line off and putting it in a bucket to let the line swell. I will then put it back on and see if I have the same issue with this reel. My previous two I just used them as they came.

@BlueTrin did you do anything to 'prep' your reel before you used it or did you just use it as it came when you bought it?

Nope I didn’t do anything to prep the reel at all.

Delrin/POM is very strong for plastic.

It is very strong, but it is at it a disadvantage in plate/sheet form with force being applied to the 'wall'.
