In the end, I'm much more comfortable in my own stuff, and I enjoy the dives more. When given the chance, I bring all my stuff (within reason) on trips.
Headed to Orlando & Beyond. Need some advice?

I finally decided to go ahead and pack all of my own gear. My reasoning in the past has been just the same. I know my gear and I am comfortable with it.
As to finding a reasonable hotel. I was about to book at a real dump and decided to take a shot at the Priceline "name your own price" deal. I had thought it was likely BS. I was wrong. I got a room for $55 a night that runs over $150 a night if booked direct or through hotels.com.
