Hi all -
I found this site yesterday while looking for info on using an Olympus C-5050 underwater - great site! I'm an Englishman in Japan (my wife is Japanese) - teach English - dive almost every weekend mostly around Kyushu - a few times a year in Okinawa (great diving there!).
We are going to Hawaii in July - anyone have any tips/info about the diving there?

And welcome to SB!! :D Put us in your favorites and check in often.

With your experiences, I'll be looking forward to your posts.

Hi Kim and welcome to SB!
I am in Asia about 8 to 10 times per year and will be in Japan next month.
How's the water temp in the areas you dive?

Right now around Fukuoka it's still fairly cold - around 10 Celcius. Okinawa should be around 22 Celcius by now.

welcome aboard, KL!

No I don't! I use a 5mm wetsuit and consequently don't do much through the winter! I see a lot of Japanese divers who do dive dry though - I never learned how! Mainly the thought of having to relearn all my buoyancy techniques again has put me off. However - that said - my wife has been badgering me about ice diving (up in Hokkaido in the winter) - she really wants to learn it, so I suppose it's just a question of time..... :frown2:

Welcome to the Board!
