Thank you, and hi, to for all your warm welcomes!

I used to work in Tokyo for a major bank. I got sent there for a six week stint, ended up staying for two years. Never got used to being the gaijin though.

I do miss Tokyo though. I'm trying to figure out how to go back.

KimLeece:
I'm an Englishman in Japan (my wife is Japanese) - teach English - dive almost every weekend mostly around Kyushu - a few times a year in Okinawa (great diving there!).

Welcome from another newbie ... I just joined today too.

I'm an Englishman too.

My wife is Japanese too.

I taught Englsih in Japan too.

I used to live in Kyushu too.

I had great diving in Japan too (Okinawa).

Well how about that! Now you live in Bali I suppose? Still teaching English? Didn't you like the sashimi?

Hi Kim, and welcome!

KimLeece:
If I'd never met my wife, would I still be wrong?
Of course. The inherent male ability to be wrong is not limited to proximity to a female. Same as the answer as to this:

If a man says something in the forest, and there's no woman there to hear him, is he still wrong?

See? you just got here and already you've got a woman here ready to set you straight.
:D

actually, an experiment was conducted wherein 1500 bachelors across the US
were broken off in groups of 5-10, at random, and placed in replicas of your typical
suburban basement sports room, with a t.v., fridge, etc... there to watch
two games of football on t.v., also picked at random.

at the end, nothing wrong had been done by ANY of the groups.

next month, the same experiment was done, only this time the men's girlfriends
were brought in at the end. turns out the guys had stained carpets, broken glasses,
barfed on the sofa, spilled ashes and pizza on the potted plants, you get the idea.

the research concldues that it takes a WOMAN to be around for men to do wrong, you see...

this here is scientifical, too

If a tree falls in the forest, but no one is around to hear it...

Is the man still wrong?!?
