oh what i meant was will the cam band slots for the wing and the cam band slots for the bp match?
Well if they're from the same manufacturer they better :D

If your stricly going OMS because of price from Leisurepro, you may want to check out these other deals, they can't say the manuf. names online because of agreements. But you can call and they'll tell you. You can call Scubatoys.com too, they'll put a package together and meet or beat LP prices.

I currently dive a HOG harness and am thinking of installing a quick release on one side. I have had difficulty on occasion removing my rig after a dive.

I'll add that the quick release doesn't help at all (in most cases but not for everyone) like most have said so go with the hog HOWEVER I like something like the transplate harness that has some adjustment in in because I dive in a shorty wetsuit one week and then use my dry suit with thick indies the next week and found that I like to be able to adjust QUICKLY. NOT A BIG DEAL really, but that hog harness is not as easy to adjust and can cause some issues if you are constantly changing your dive environment and suits. To heck with the quick release though, I don't even use those on my transplate harness. Enjoy your purchase!

I started out with a Deluxe and switched to a Hog Harness.

The quick release latch on the Deluxe restricts where you can place a D-ring on that side. I know that doesn't sound like much of an issue, but for me it was.

Honestly, I find the Hogarthian Harness much easier to use. Frankly, I never really used the quick release latch, anyway.

YMMV

Jeff

Agreed

I also found that the buckles and clips and stuff always sat in the wrong spot, QR was right on my collar bone. Sternum strap crossed drysuit inflator valve.

When going to clip off a light or something on the Deluxe there was "too much going on" and I'd end up clipping off to the wrong spot if I wasn't looking.

Switched to Hog and never looked back.

The Deluxe harness is proof that a good idea in theory can sometimes be a crappy idea in execution.

After reading and chatting with people on here I bought a simple HOG harness from DiveRiteexpress.com. SS BP with 1 solid 2" webbing harness. I did also get the pad for the backplate. Got it in the other day and tried it on. First time around I love it and don't see any problems getting into or out of it. In the water may be different of course. Anyway, so far so good. I also bought from golemgear.com the 40lb lift Oxycheq Mach V for my single tank bladder and an Oxy 50lb bladder for my doubles as well. The Mach V everyone has ranted and raved about and it sure is slim. Hope to dive it this weekend if the winds subside.

Ok it seems like the hog wins at the end of the day!

Hi guys...i am thinking of venturing into the bp/w rig. However i do not know which path to take:the hog harness or the deluxe harness with quick release? my LDS told me to take the deluxe harness as i can unbuckle in case of any emergency.Appreciate any advice. Thanks in advance!

There really is no good reason to use a quick release on a BPW set-up. All the comments made about it always being in just the wrong place are entirely correct. Add to that the fact that it's superfluous - how many releases does one rig need?
