I’m also racking my brains for a name that may have an aquatic undertone.

I have always loved Calypso as a girl's name...nearly gave it to my son as a middle name but decided that would have just been too cruel... :D

I have always loved Calypso as a girl's name.........
nice!

but i thought todays fashion was to b******d-ise name spellings so i guess it would be Kalipso

No on the b******ized spellings...trust me, someone has already been there and done that, and made elementary school hell for some poor unsuspecting child. What about Jacques or Jacqueline? I'm into classics (don't tell my mother!) What goes with the last name?

almity-nephew #4 is named Corrie

poor kid, he ALWAYS gets Corey on invites, paperwork ect

i told his mother 11yrs ago that all his name proved was that his parents cant spell :shakehead:

,....What goes with the last name?

VERY important!!

i stopped my boss from naming her 3rd son Christopher Peter about 10yrs ago

reason being is the kids surname is Skin

can you imagine roll call.... "Skin, Chris P Skin"... (say it quickly)

Congrats!

Found some water-themed names on ye olde Google:
Marina
Maris - "of the sea"
Moana - "wide expanse of water"
Calder - "violent water"
Leith - "flowing water"
Bermuda
Brook/Brooke
Kai/Kaia - "sea"
Naida - "river nymph"

Also saw the name Shark, maybe for an awesome middle name?

:rofl3: Sounds like a random cousin of James Bond!

Congrats Rohan,

I also like Calypso (traditional spelling please) for a girl as suggested by Kim22,
and Blue for a boy as suggested by BabyDuck would be quite appropriate for an Aussie Tassie

Myself I cant think of any good names.
