I think they sort-of dropped the ball on the A700 in terms of style and looks. It's uggily. I can't speak to how it works, never used one. I suspect that at least part of the decision to develop it was the unprecedented long term success of the 109 and balanced/adjustable. But unlike the case with the G250V, they did not capture the styling of the old reg.

Personally, I'd like to see SP bring an all-metal coaxial valve 2nd stage back. What are the chances of that? Oh yeah, and while I'm pipe-dreaming, how about a new version of the MK10, sort of like the MK10+ with a spec boot option, a nifty seat that really locks up, and a bushing system to improve tolerances for HP use? Oh wait, they already did, it's called 'atomic.'

These older regs with there all metal seconds are nice. I keep looking at that ScubaPro A700 (not buying it but I do have some bad lust for it). It appears to be very well made. I wonder if others will take note and start to offer something along the same lines? Probably not but you can dream (or you can order a brand new conshelf 14)

:)

Or a Kirby Morgan Superflow (if you can find a place that sells it)

With the exception of the G250V, I think all Scubapro second stages are ugly. The Apeks second stages are ugly looking too which is odd because the Aqua-Lungs are generally good looking.

Probably the reason it wasn't done is where would it fit in the lineup and it would probably takes sales away from the MK-25.
