How to stiffen webbing

I found a great solution to stiffen the webbing. Minwax wood hardener. I had some laying around. Three ingredients, acetone, methanol, and resin. It’s non-photoreactive and doesn’t break done in water. I saturated the webbing and it’s really stiff now.
@Candiru I know this is a really old thread, but I’d love to know how the webbing with the Minwax held up over time. Does the stiffening last, or did it wear off rather quickly?
 
It’s held up fine. I dove that setup about 30 times before I switched to sidemount. I haven’t used the kit in a long time but there doesn’t seem to be any issues.
