I like PADI and all the others out their. I went with IDEA just cause My Friend is a Instructor/DM/PSD and more.
I have never had any issues with my IDEA Cert. You can go anywhere in the world and dive with their Training.
I have done a lot of searching and every dive training program bases their training off the US Navy Dive Tables in some way...
