I just don't log dives
I am a equipment repair tech and work for a LDS which covers my insurance.
I have be asked about doing some work at home for another person but I would need my own insurance. Does anyone know who I can contact to find out about insurance for doing repair work and the cost to see if it's worth it.

Being a career property & casualty insurance broker I will be honest and say the vast majority of folks doing what you describe do not carry commercial general liability coverage. My best guess of an annual premium is $500+/-.

Just don't leave a paper trail. Lots cheaper.
