15% not dramatic?.

Not not really. Deaths per year were more than 2.8 million in the years beforehand . If you had jumped to 20 million deaths a year from a virus such as when the Bubonic Plague wiped out a large number of the population that would be dramatic.

How would you one know. Some people who got sick were found to be on flights where other people had the virus and were flying in before PCR testing was mandatory. One woman on a flight to Taiwan was already sick and lied about it and was fined. Many people who have been knowingly sick traveled and this is why the pandemic spread as it did.

You said: "Many people that have flown to Taiwan had negative PCR tests but were found to be infected during quarantine. It got so bad Taiwan stopped anyone coming in from Indonesia even though PCR tests were done as nearly everyone ended up being infected." So, that's the problem with the airlines when screening the passengers, by not measuring the passenger body temperatures and not recognizing fake negative PCR tests.

So you think this British woman also had a fake PCR test?

British woman tests positive for COVID again after arriving in Taiwan | Taiwan News | 2021/02/27

Daily dating app use in the US has surged during covid , in some apps up to 30%. Some apps are even featuring vaccination status now. So for all the shutdowns, closures, masking, handwashing, hand wringing and gnashing of teeth it's easy to see where the disparities in infection rates can come from. Covid-19 infection, I mean.

I copied & pasted the story here:
“According to Chen, case No. 953 is a British national in her 20s who came to Taiwan for studies on Feb. 12. She had provided proof of two negative COVID tests issued within three days of her flight after she was confirmed with the disease in the U.K. on Jan. 8.

She had shown no symptoms of the virus since her arrival and tested negative on Feb. 13. However, a subsequent test taken on Feb. 25, upon her completion of the 14-day quarantine requirement, showed that she had contracted the disease for the second time.

She was found to have a Ct value of 34 on Feb. 26 and tested positive for IgG antibodies. Since she had been self-isolating in a designated facility, no contacts have been listed.”

It sounds like she contracted the virus while in the quarantine.

I wonder how they determined it was a reinfection vs the infection diagnosed in January?

Covid-19: Officials hunt Brazil virus variant case in England Covid-19: Officials hunt Brazil virus variant case in England

So here are 5 people known to have arrived in the U.K. from Brazil via Zurich. 3 carried on on another flight to Scotland. One other, a sixth person, is missing. They have introduced a new variant from Brazil which might be more resistant to vaccines.

Do we think they did this to deliberately kill British people or do we think that despite their best efforts they travelled while infected?

There are definitely issues with UK border controls of course. The impact will be worse because of late and inadequate quarantine.

...
The first suggestion is a bit over the top.... and the second option is still blaming these travellers.
Let's look at in a more positive way: hopefully they're healthy people with a healthy immune system that will get rid of the virus before they transfer it.

Oh good; new science. Do you have any citations for this?
