What is the temp? Where are the thermoclines? I only have wetsuits, so <60 is too cold, 60-65 is marginal, and anything above 65 is good to go. colder and shallower is OK, too.

(I have a 3mm full with 5mm hooded vest. Wearing my gloves might extend my range a bit.)

I may try to go on the 21st as well, though my mother may be going home from rehab (been in hospital and rehab since car accident on Dec 10!), in which case I will be with her in Florida.

What are the fees?

I was there last month, temperature from top to bottom was about 47F.

adder- Wait till June till you try Rawlings if you need to be that warm. By Late august there will be 3 strata. High 70s to about 30ft then it will drop into the 60s and at the bottom of the quarry it will be in the 50s.

If you go on a summer weekend it will be a zoo with >100 first time divers silting the place up. I was out there a few weeks ago and at the end of the day there were just 3 of us in the lake. Best vis I have ever seen there ~40 ft.

Rawlings is a great place for training, checking out new gear, and refresher dives, but after logging almost 20 dives there I have seen all there is to see. I can't imagine being an instructor and doing 4-10 dives a week there.
