I can report that the circuit as published above does work. I built the device, including the LEDs and using the USB board from eBay recommended by Bryscus. Bryscus and Moerby, thank you very much for your initiative. :)

I tested it on a Puck Air. My own computer is a Puck Pro and I still have to test it on that computer. Since the connections are totally different from the Puck Air I still have to devise a different connector for the Puck Pro. I will report the outcome but that is only likely to happen in about a month's time since I am out of town a lot.

My operating system here is Win XP with service pack 3. During installation make sure you download MS Framework .net .Also insure that you install the appropriate driver for your computer. It is all part of the Mares installation process. During installation, read the screenvery carefully and act accordingly. I did not use the online installation for DiveOrganiser, but rather the full offline installation program.

My biggest problem now is that the learning curve on the DiveOrganiser from mares is quite steem and there are a large number of things that I do not quite understand.

I can report that I also tested the equipment using a Puck Pro dive computer. One can confidently assume that it should work with all dive computers that can use the Mares Drak USB interface. Thi includes the Nemo and Matrix computers.

Bryscus, I think there is a mistake in NAND gate pin numbers in your schematics.

It should be 1-2-3, 4-5-6 instead of 1-2-7, 5-6-3
 
Andrew,

Different ICs have different pinouts. Most notably my schematic calls for a dual NAND package and you are showing a quad NAND package. The pins were mostly for my own reference when tracing the connections on the board. Alternate parts should work just fine as long as you follow the logical connections. Hope this helps.

I tried to mount this circuit. But it doesn't work.
When I put the dive computer (Nemo Wide) in PC mode and plug the cable, the dive computer just freeze.
I need to remove the battery to reset it.

Anyone have this problem too?

I find one problem. There was a closed circuit between the 2 cables from dive computer.
I solve this problem and the computer stop freeze, but it still didn't work.
I'm using a Mac. Is this a problem?

I have built three of these adapters for myself and my close diver friends. To do this I designed a small printed circuit board. Here you can see the built up printed circuit board.

I have five etched printed circuid boards remaining that I do not plan to use (In the manufacture of PC boards, it costs the same to etch 9 boards as it costs to etch 1 board). Anyone interested can get them for US$10 plus postage and packing. Since I have the components I will supply them as built up boards only requiring insertion of the 74HC132 integrated circuit and the USB micromudule into their respective sockets. You will have to mount the board in a box and you will have to solder in the the two connections of the wires to your dive computer.
