Just installed new kit pressurized @ 148 after 100 cycles down to spec 140 should it be good or does more cycling help I've heard that it can take 500 to stable holds steady 140 for over an hour . think I'm good?

So long as it holds steady without creep you are good.

What was the supply pressure before and after the 100 cycles?
Is the IP steady? That is the most important spec.

The other thing that comes to mind, is what is is feeding? If it is a balanced second, you shouldn't really have much to consider. If it is going to an unbalanced second, changes in IP may cause a need for re-tuning of the second stage, but that is dependent on how "on the edge" you may have the second stage tuned.

Got it for 20.00 when I took it apart seat had fallen out of shaft just replaced with a new one and all new orings ScubaPro kit. how would a seat fall out bad overhaul? new one was a nice fit.

Sounds like an excellent deal to me.

Yes, probably a bad overhaul or wrong seat.

Here is my concern. As the MK2 is an unbalanced piston first stage, the IP naturally drops in concert with the tank pressure (supply pressure.) Therefore it is quite possible you are still slightly over spec at max tank pressure-you won't know until you hook it up to a full tank. However, it is not WAY over and will not harm anything. It's just that when one rebuilds a reg it should be set to within specs.

Were there any spring shims in the body? If so, one or more can be removed to lower the IP.
