Hello dive friends, I see lots of recommendations for great dive books, but does anyone have any good suggestions for dive movies? Whether documentary, fictional, or whatever! Thanks!

A great documentary is Hitler's Lost Sub made by NOVA. Which is also a book called Shadow Divers by Robert Kurzon

The Deep for totally cheesy action, but still a dive movie. Basically remade as Into the Blue a few years back, even cheesier.

The Big Blue, although it's free diving, it's still an amazing film

There is diving in Jaws, so that could count.

Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, just because.

The Deep. It's an older movie. First 10 minute is the best. Watch it, you'll know why.
Also, Into the Blue, Open Water, Fools Gold, The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, Cave, The Big Blue, and so on. These are all Hollywood Movies with a bunch of diving. There are probably a few others.

Can't go wrong with The Life Aqautic.

And... one movie that has stuck with me since I was a kid and happen to catch occasionally through the years is The Frogmen.

From Amazon: "Richard Widmark plays Lt. Commander John Lawrence, a sympathetic but unfairly disliked leader of a group of Navy underwater demolition experts in the fascinating World War II drama The Frogmen. Basically a story written around some authentic Navy footage of real frogmen in action, the film is full of daring maneuvers that (even when occasionally simulated) reveal much about the clandestine operations of frogmen as they engage in reconnaissance and ambushing missions, sometimes under cover of night. As such, The Frogmen will delight Navy buffs, but the very human tale of a commanding officer losing the respect of his men for reasons he can't help is universally compelling."
Amazon.com: The Frogmen: Richard Widmark, Dana Andrews, Gary Merrill, Jeffrey Hunter, Warren Stevens, Robert Wagner, Harvey Lembeck, Robert Rockwell, Henry Slate, Richard Allan, Russell Hardie, Rush Williams, Harry Flowers, Jack Warden, Robert Patten

Happy Diving,

If you have (or get) links to any of these I would really appreciate it. I am about to go off in search but figured links here would be good for all involved. Thanks
