I'm recently open water certified and had my first dives in Bonaire. I now realize that going to the beach and not diving is like watching a circus outside the big tent.

Any recommendations for dive locations for newbie divers? Looking for places with calm waters and great visibility. Bonaire was amazing!

Hi Jesse
Welcome. Its so cool that you were able to get certified in Bonaire. It is an awsome place!! There are many nice dive sites south of you along the coast. Good luck and safe diving!!

Thanks! I've got to get back in the water.... SOON! I didn't realize this was going to become so addicting!

Hi Jessie, Congrats on the certification and welcome to the board. Since it looks like you are from Jersey, you might want to look at the DNY (Dive New York) Forum. From what I can tell, they are a pretty active bunch on SB. Good luck to you.

Join a local (and active!) dive club, so that you meet like minded (and more experienced) divers and then go diving. They'll know the cool places and what gear to get.
