Package from Simon just got dropped at the front door, my 420 and an air1 plus the long extension exhaust port 555, these extensions are interesting, very well made, not marked on the extensions but the part that connects, bridges them is marked scubapro, verrry interesting.

I've never had a new SP reg out of the box that was cracking below 2", ever. Usually north of 2.2", had a new G260 once that was cracking at 2.8"😳

I wanted to pull that exhaust T off and take a closer look but was too scared I'd break something, knew you would though 😂

Understandable, they want to make sure their inventory can sit 2 years and still be sold trouble-free without customers coming back into the shop due to leaks. The specs have been dropped for that reason, but isn't 2" outside the allowed range?

I once bought a new Apeks FSR, put it on gauge upon arrival as I do with every reg I get, ip shot way past 150 before I turned air off. Pulled it apart, the crown had a nick on it. Wasn't overly impressed. Thankfully it was an FSR so just got crown and new hp seat sent to me, any other Apeks reg and I would've needed replacement.

Yes, well outside range.
I don't have the service manual in front of me, but if it states e.g. 1.2 - 1.8 " of inhalation resistance, and a brandnew factory delivered reg is at 1.9", that's already a problem for Scubapro, legally. And in the old days that spec was even lower, as I think some of the gurus on the board wrote?

So yeah, people, buy Buddhasummer's regs. I consider them MIL SPEC once they passed his hands... :)
