Hey All,

This thread seems to be a great place to ask this. My wife and I are planning on eating out for Christmas, and looking for something kind of "fancy".

If you were going to take your other half out for a more formal, fancy dinner, which place comes to mind? I want to call ahead and make a reservation...

I won't comment on whether it is a good idea to do it on Christmas, but for a fancy place to eat, I gotta say we have kinda got attached to the Napa Grill down at the Presidente Hotel. It is a 'fancy' dinner. I don't know how their service might be on Christmas, but normally it is good, the food is good. I never made a reservation, but last time we ate Napa Grill food in the their 'other' restaurant, which is really just a room over. Still wonderful.

Go much for the port closures and rain (knock on wood). Been here two whole days and it's perfect! No mosquito bites either (but my friend got 6). We did see the jellies people have been talking about today, but all had wetsuits so it was a non-issue. (Plus I think they are moon jellies? Aren't those fairly mild?)

Rmssetc and I had a Scubaboard meet-up on Tres Pelicanos Loan Shark and dove Palancar Gardens and Tormentos. Edgar found us three seahorse - I haven't seen one here in a long time.

The drinks at Thirsty Cougar are as good as always. I'll make sure that Wet Wendy's are too, just to help out the Scubaboard Cozumel crowd. :)
