I was just about to pull the trigger on a new sidemount system and got yalls email, when do you expect the first JT's to be rolling out of the factory.

Thanks!

Hi Panga,

The Nomad JT will launch in May, approx. 30 days give or take a few. We'll have more information coming soon, but suffice it to say, this is a sidemount rig for the purist...someone who intends to only sidemount dive in the rig and wants a streamlined rig with less bulk and 360 degree inflation...

Hi Kathleen,

I am very close to pulling the trigger on buying an armadillo. Can you give us any info on the new rig??
Wing Lift?
harness - loadsa plastic buckles or nice and simple?

Hi,

Thanks for the post. I'll have photos of the Nomad JT at the end of the week. Our final production sample is due Wed-ish and the rig will be available for purchase in 25-35 days.

The Nomad JT is intended for a sidemount purist - it won’t do singles or doubles.

Features:

· - Superfabric fabric covers the entire backside of the wing. This is designed to be a skid plate to decrease the chance of snags.

· - A 2-inch crotch strap starts higher than normal for offset d rings to carry multiple stage bottles, reels and canister light.

· - Bungee system runs on the inside so it can’t snag and keeps the rig streamlined. Small daisy chain attachment is located on the inside of the wing on the soft backplate. There are two sets for easier sizing of bungees. You can wear standard or D-ring bungees.

·

· - 360 aircell with 50-55 pounds of lift ( we need to do one more lift test on the final sample that arrives this week to pin this number down )

· - Left and right lower dump valves
· - Sidemounted inflation system
· - Neck pull dump – on divers side so it is protected and less water intrusion
· Deluxe harness style webbing – size adjustments are done on the shoulder webbing and the waist belt pivots at the chest for comfort and simplicity
· Single shoulder d rings on each side
· Single waist d rings on each side
· Stainless Steel belt buckle
· DPV rings on front and rear of crotch strap

That sounds amazing... I just bought the Nomad XT. Can you purchase the new wing for the XT?

Unfortunately, not. The Nomad JT is an all-in-one rig, meaning it is not modular so substitutions cannot be made.

We're keeping the Nomad XT in the line up...it will still be our top of line rig for those explorers who need the flexibility of a modular system and want to dive sidemount, PLUS doubles, rebreather, etc. in sidemount fashion (slinging bailout and stages).

Hi anybody have any idea of the price point for the new dive rite Nomad JT coming out in May/June?
Thanks
