+1 on the pull dump. Very very handy for making small changes in your wing buoyancy, My light is on a soft Goodman on my left hand, no problem to reach over with my right hand to dump air

I would add that in a panic situation, the cable in the pull dump is additional protection against raising the deflator hose and pulling it out of the wing

Besides if you donate like dir says, your light will be pointing up, and not in someone's eyes,

Abit of light flashing around is not necessarily a bad thing, it can signal other divers in the group.

Everyone seems to think when someone is out of air its going to be smooth and paced out, like you practiced,
