I'm not an acronym kind of a guy but in OW class, but I sure appreciated the definitive steps/checklist that a diver needs to make for assembling gears, donning gears, making descends and ascends. After a while, it becomes automatic but in the beginning you need something to check off against to make sure that you haven't missed anything that might kill you.
