HEY SEAHUNT,

I'VE JUST RETURNED FROM DESTIN AND ACTUALLY DOVE WITH GENESIS SO HE KNOWS WHAT HE'S TALKING ABOUT. I WOULD RECOMEND BEFORE DIVING ON ANY BOAT DIVE THERE TO DO THE JETTIES. THATS WHAT WE DID AND YOU WILL ENJOY IT. BUT LIKE GENESIS SAID MAKE DANG SURE IT IS DONE AT HIGH SLACK TIDE OR YOU WILL FIND YOURSELF IN MAJOR TROUBLE AS WE FOUND OUT DIVING THE JETTIES AT PANAMA CITY. WE GOT THERE ABOUT AN HOUR AFTER HIGH SLACK TIDE AND FOUND OURSELVES FIGHTING A VERY STIFF CURRENT AND WAS CONTINUALLY GETTING STRONGER. SO WE ABORTED THE DIVE AND DROVE ABOUT 45MINS NORTH OF P.CITY AND DOVE VORTEX SPRINGS WHICH WAS A GREAT FINISHING DIVE TO OUR TRIP. BEAUTIFULL FRESH WATER BUT JUST A LITTLE COOL AT 68 DEGRESS. BUT TO AN OLD FAT TEXAS BOY IT FELT GREAT. EVERYONE WAS WEARING FULL WETSUITS AND SAW AN OCCASIONAL DRYSUIT BUT WE WORE SHORTIES AND WAS COMFORTABLE. BUT LIKE I SAID DO THE JETTIES 1ST AND YOU WILL HAVE A GREAT TIME THERE.
