From the Recreational Dive Planner section of the PADI Dive Theory Exam. You will need your RDP™ to answer this question. You will get different pressure groups if you use metric or imperial!

Divers on a live-aboard boat complete three dives in one day. Their dive profiles are: first dive - 30 metres/100 feet for 16 minutes, surface interval - one hour and 10 minutes; second dive - 16 metres/55 feet for 36 minutes, surface interval - two hours and 30 minutes; third dive - 10 metres/33 feet for 55 minutes. What is their pressure group after the third dive?

a. Metric K - Imperial K

b. Metric N - Imperial O

c. Metric O - Imperial N

d. Metric M - Imperial M

I will post a daily question from my exams to help newer divers and to encourage more experienced divers to interact gracefully and helpfully with the newer divers.

Reminder - this is a post in the Basic Forum and it is a green zone. Please be nice and on topic.

Computer. Tea. Earl Grey. Hot. Engage.

Fun!

The end letter was so close to interpret on the Wheel, I ran the tables too. Exactly how I would have answered it... and no, I didn't give up the answer

Again it is good for this rookie to be with the majority. Still looking for my DM or solo cert from one of you instructors based on my final score!

Ran this with my SSI table and found that you cant run dive two. You'd have to back off to 40ft to run that bottom time at that SI. I'm surprised at how large of a difference that is.

Ran this with my SSI table and found that you cant run dive two. Two pressure groups short of being able to dive 55ft 36mins. I'm surprised at how large of a difference that is.

Does this mean PADI < SSI ? #Controversy

NAUI Table too.... (Dive #1 ending PG: E, need C, or 50' for dive #2)

Bah...Math + first thing in morning = off by 1 pressure group. Sticking with my computer.
