On a recent ferry crossing, I noticed a new sign indicating the enhanced security:

Reminds me of a sign I saw at the entrance to a bar: “No nuclear weapons allowed inside”

I like how you have to put your back pack through the "scanner" but you pull your suite case with you through the "metal detector" . The quotes are because I don't think either device works.

and even if they did, all it takes is 50 pesos for a luggage porter and they bypass the "scanners"
