I think we should rename bonair to BoneAir

I thought you were calling the EAN the BoneAir.

New convos while hanging out at the fill station:
“My SO found out I was using the 32% instead of the 36. They got all bent out of shape and asked if I didn’t love then anymore!”
“Are you kidding? MY SO said that if I ever touched the 36 again, it’d be the last thing I touched...............Well, not the last thing.”

I did not do that! I put it in the advanced forum, and then it was supposed to be moved to the medical forum. Hmm.

You are NOT being had. I am serious about this

How do I get ahold of a mod to move it to the medical forum? Or should I just start a new one there and let ya'll have fun here?

The normal way to do this is to click the "report" button on this thread and it will ask you for a comment to the mods (why you're reporting it). You can just type that it was a serious question and you'd like it moved to the medical forum so that it will gain the attention of the docs who post on SB.
The fact that it's in humor is almost certainly why most docs are not responding.

If an actual doctor responds, would you please make sure you let me know so I can know how seriously to take the response.

Carry on with the fun, meantime.

Actually @drrich2 did respond in the second page. Probably before the thread got inadvertently moved to humor. Serious question, Nitrox and extended erections

It's worth noting that some people have unusual susceptibility to priapism (the name for what it sounds like he's experiencing) in response to some precipitants. A number of medications can do it - Trazodone is particularly known for this, and I know of one case involved Risperidone, so it may be worth the man reviewing what medications he's on to see if any of those might be contributors. But why can many men take Trazodone and not have it, then one guy gets 'unlucky?'

And be aware priapism can get very serious. From the Mayo Clinic page I linked - "If you have an erection lasting more than four hours, you need emergency care." A call to DAN might be well worth his time.

New to scuba and all the terms what’s the EAN

Enriched Air Nitrox. The "full" name for nitrox.
now THAT is freaking subtle. I tip my hat sir.

Ah , thank you not quite ready for that yet

(This is probably obvious but: As a newer SB contributor, just keep in mind that this is in the humor section. There is only one person, as yet, actually claiming the medical condition of Priapism (I had to look it up) being brought on with the use of Nitrox. Use of Nitrox is relatively simple and safe with a bit of attention to the details. Do not let this thread keep you from considering that certification if it would apply to your type(s) of diving.)

I didn't know which made less sense, the first post or the undercurrent article.
I do. While the undercurrent article is total shameless BS, I can find a couple of rational explanations for the topic starter's story:
1. The hubby is secretly taking Viagra and tells her BS about Nitrox and NO; she is naive enough to buy his story.
2. They both are unknowingly taking part in some experiments ran by a third party, like when CIA spiked cocktails with LSD ("Project MKUltra").

Just out of curiosity, assuming nitrox helps erection does similarly viagra increase NDL (among the other things it increases)???

If so, how much increase of equivalent %O2 per pill do we get?
If numbers are favorable, why not consider it ??

And as a side question would you consider a LoB advertising: "Free viagra" (as/instead of "Free Nitrox") ?
Maybe I need to make a poll for this.
