the point of using floats is to have the rig neutral or _slightly_negative to get the smoothest video.

In addition to mounting to my camera rig, I designed and prototyped this mount for a Princeton Tec Miniwave this morning.

I had this in mind. This set up for macro with tripod

and this set up using the tripod as a tray

. I haven't used it in anger as yet but relish any feedback before I go to Bonaire.

I've had a lot of success with the Jaws Flex Clamp.
