While watching the superbowl, we noticed that the quarterbacks had the plays written on their forearms on a slate-like device. I was wonder if our American friends had more details about what this might actually be. Is it something that can be bought and used for underwater like a slate?

Nope. Although there's nothing fancy or new about a wrist slate - heck, I'll make you one. They're not tough to do.

But the ones QB's use are usually just a wrist band with a space to insert the plays under a plastic cover... sort of like a zip lock bag/sweat band combo.

I have a wrist slate but I find that it at times slides around and moves, and I must remember to put it on last after I have tanks on other wise it gets bumped when trying to get on my BC straps.
I just thought that it might be a more streamlined idea. And it got me thinking that maybe I could use wetsuit material and then some how include a slate into that and make an area to place a pencil as well.
