Thanks for taking a look at this thread. I have recently moved and started going through my scuba gear. I have been given a tremendous amount of gear and I need to sort it out. I would like to get opinions on what I should keep and what I should discard. I have taken pics of all of the hardware. Please feel free to comment on the pics and let me know if you recognize it and help me sort it. Full disclosure: I would like to be an instructor at some point in my life. Maybe after I retire from this job...

The pics are in my google account so feel free to make comments to the pics.

Gear

It may be possible to get parts for the Dacor regs since I believe they're Vipers or Viper Metals - one of the last regs released after Mares bought out Dacor - over 10 years ago though so maybe not.

I think "hillary" is about $50 too high but here's a similar set to help value them: Dacor Viper Regulator, Octo, And Gauge

I remember those Genesis regs - used to see some of them at my shop - in the 90's. Didn't follow the line so I have no idea what model #'s are.Replacement hoses probably cost more than they're worth even if you could find a tech who works on old stuff like that.

We just I'd that yellow Genesis Octo here. What is this brand?

That's all I can help with.

Thanks Steve. It has taken some time to sort through all the "donation" and at one time in the last three years I all of these rigs worked (aka: someone used them). Right after I left they went in storage and I took them out of the non-climate controlled storage today... almost 4 years later.

Keep the Sherwoods, ditch the rest. Dacor parts are nonexistent, Don't know about Genesis parts.

That seems to be the consensus. Thanks for all the replies!

This should be the last little tidbit that I find in my crates full of gear. I believe it is a DIN to Yoke adapter but I can't figure out what the finger thread thing on the top is. I have two of them.

Fill adapter. For filling DIN tanks from yoke-only fill whips.

@northernone I am still sorting it out right now. There is a shop near me that is working on getting some of the gear servicable and I want to use some of it to learn to service gear on as I start my dive master training. I will def let you know what I am getting rid of.

Thanks johnnyC. I was really trying to wrap my head around it but just couldn't.
