I have lots of friends @ Tyndall AFB and near Mexico Beach. They are safe but their lives will be changed for ever because of the damage.

I'm kind of dazed that this thread started 7 days ago about a tropical depression coming close to Cozumel and then within a few days passing by Cozumel it turned out to be a devastating hurricane slamming the US Gulf coast. It grew so fast in such a small period.

This area of special interest is still out there, but fortunately it doesn't look like it will develop into anything much before moving in to Central America.
