Good luck, hope you have a great trip. As you've already heard, the weather is highly variable this time of year. I was diving out of Jupiter on Monday this week and it was great. You can get an idea of the conditions by checking National Weather Service Marine Forecast
When I looked at it just now, the forecast of "seas" ranged from '2-to-4 feet; occasional 5' for the rest of today to '9-to-11; occasional 14 feet' in the Gulf Stream by Saturday night. Most operators and divers will start thinking about the wisdom of a boat trip when seas are 6' or higher. And the forecast is just a forecast, obviously; real-world reports on the day will clinch the decision if the forecast is marginal. The experience of the divers on the boat with the conditions will also be on the mind of the Captain.
If you've booked a trip, the operator will stay in contact with you if the weather is marginal, but you can start checking out the forecast earlier in the week to see how it is developing.
