Kata Beach in Thailand....I would thought a garbage bag under water was lovely. But actually we saw all sorts of cool stuff and it only got better from there.

Lake George, NY. Air temp was 55 degrees, water temp was 48 degrees, it was cloudy and raining.......and I loved it!

Key Largo in '89. Took OW class to fill a phys ed requirement during summer session at UNC-CH. We had five weeks of classroom and pool work prior to heading down to the Keys - man what a blast.

Gun Beach, Tumon Guam. Feb 1972.
What a wonderful day! Hope to go back some day.

First dive ever and first OW dive were the same, no swimming pool, no quarry for me, but the Red Sea, in Hurghada. Fantastic !

My ow check out dives were in Lake Denton in Avon Park, FL. The fish were cool there and loved the cheese whiz and frozen peas.

The next weekend my class went on a graduation trip and did 2 days of diving in West Palm Beach, FL. It was perfect. No waves, just flat calm water and I even got to drive the dive boat back to the inlet.

Wendy, it is so good to hear from you :crafty:
