Where was your first OW dive?

My first (certified) Open Water dive was at Blue Grotto

My forst OW dive, Comel River, TX. Still go back every year for Trashfest River clean up. I love go through the tube shoots in my gear.

All i can remember was the bitter January cold..no drysuit. Instructor grabbed hold of a d-ring and took me down - been hooked ever since.

Arc Dive/Sunabe Sea Wall, Chatan Cho, Okinawa, Japan. We feed the fish hot dogs. The damsels were quite agressive. Then we flew over the soft corals, and hard corals, I was amazed and hooked. I did not want to follow the chain out to shore. Ever since that time I have been trying to stay underwater much like Amazing Mr. Lipid.

My wife and I were on a tiny gorgeous island just off of Kota Kinabulu, Borneo! Actually, it was also where our "confined dive" which was in about 1.5 meters... so, we were with the fishies from the beginning!!! The deeper stuff happened... well, deeper... WAHOO!

My first certified OW dive was at Bonneville Seabase in Utah, almost a year ago. I returned last weekend to dive it again and quickly remembered why we vowed never to go back, unless we need limited visibility dive training.

My first OW dive was in Ja Jolla at the shores in 1988. Had gone back until 1991 for diving and to assist with classes. Haven't been back lately. Enzeddiver

My first OW dive was off the shore in Maui. Then later than week did the Molokini crater. Haven't been back as there are soooo many other places I want to visit.
