Why does PADI make it so hard?

According to the Sport Diver website, you have to pay $29 per year including the $19 subscription to the magazine ($19 only does not seem to be an option that I found on thier site after a quick search). Also bear in mind that international customers usually pay a shipping premium for magazine subscriptions. In this case Canada is $41 and international is $62 per year

Looks like you're correct - although you can get the eMagazine version for $0.99 an issue, if you don't mind being one issue behind Zinio | Digital Magazines

Sounds like a better deal than $41/62 IMHO
