No way to switch from pistol to lantern handle. IMO, that's a deal-killer.
Really? Dang, guess I'll wait until they offer that option, then.
 
I got mine after I had batteries leak in my C8. It's great for finding critters and lighting up the muck. Wife likes her C8 since it causes her to remain focused on the beam. I do find myself shielding (blocking some of the light beam) it quite a bit, though. However, it is really nice at lighting up big parts of the reef to figure out where to go to next. During the day, I take her C8 to look in holes.
 
I have a light cannon... and if you looked real hard, you could find a post from me a couple years back detailing my experiences with it.

It's a good light for the price, very bright, and cuts through the crap we have up here very well. Be careful with that bulb though... it's not likely to survive a fall from any height.
