Quick update - Just got back yesterday, didn't end up doing much diving, but did 3 tanks one day. I ended up diving with Desert Rose Divers' they had a shop at the hotel. Wasn't massively impressed with the staff at the shop, amused by the large no smoking sign on the wall, with 4 staff members...

No quick diving in Placencia - your pretty much out all day - if you want to dive with seahorse- make a reservation - we couldnt get on a boat - We dived with Southern Belize which was interesting and maybe just a little bit scary!!!! Boat ran out of fuel, was pretty titchy and v uncomfy!! Also...

Turtle inn is beautiful - but they do have a weird way of confirming diving - also found it to be incredibly expensive compared to rest of Placencia and way more expensive than San Pedro.

enjoyed staying at Las Rocas - smaller "resort" but met some really nice people and had great diving - small groups - nice folks -

dived in Hermosa - stayed at El Valero on the beach - dove with Diving Safaris -great dive op but it was pretty chilly underwater and yup - major thermoclides - pretty soupy underwater - think i'm a warm water wuss!! I'd vote for T&C for a change!
