    Canon S100 housing and lenses

G-15 FLOODED!! (crap Canon Housing) Need Instructions to open...

I flooded my s100, in a Canon housing, but it was my fault. Bought another s100, still using same housing. I have 150 dives with canon housings, most in rougher New England waters. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk HD

Canon S100 HD videos. Critique + advice please

Thanks interceptor. What sparked the question is that the fantasea bigeye seems to do the same thing as the Nauticam wetmate and that item requires you to use macro mode. Maybe something to do with the fact that it's a large dome vs a small lens. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2

Canon S100 HD videos. Critique + advice please

Thanks for the exposure lock tip interceptor, I didn't know about that. Does macro mode need to be used with the Nauticam wetmate correction lens in your article? Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2

    Canon S100

It's worth mentioning that holding down the ring function and pressing the left /right arrows does the same thing as the back wheel which is missing on the Canon housing. It's more difficult than using a knob but does the job. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2

    Chdk s100

So this only adjusts the internal flash power but doesn't affect what ttl is telling the external strobe to use for a value? Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2

    Chdk s100

I just tried this manual mode ttl script and it works fine on the s100, ys-01 strobe, with the latest chdk version as of today. Thanks interceptor! It also works with custom settings mode but you just have to alt shutter to turn it back on when switching modes. Changing modes deactivates it. I...

    Is "fixing" photos cheating??

The only time I don't like fixed photos is when I'm trying to learn what types of pictures are made with which settings for a particular camera type. And when people sometimes fail to mention they did some post processing on those pictures with said settings. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using...

Use of Tank Bangers and Rattles

Wife and I use the type that's a ball which goes around the tank. Mostly to signal each other at times when we lose each other in zero visibility situations. Three dings with a response means we are ok but lost each other. I do agree it's annoying when a divemaster uses one to constantly point...

Newport Dive shop air fill cards not honored

Extremely friendly? Maybe he was filling nitrous oxide tanks that day. Add me to the list of folks who got screwed over with the air fill situation. This guy had no compromise in mind. Sent from my Google Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2

Anyone willing to share an S95 or S100 RAW file?

The newest eneloops are great. I end up swapping out memory cards more often than batteries during the course of the day with my 570is, chdk raw and jpg saves. Sent from my Google Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2

    PADI E-Cards

E-Card is useless to me even if I was interested as PADI has not updated the Android app to be Ice Cream Sandwich, Android 4.0 compatible. Its been about 3 months since ICS came out.... Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk

Bonaire in July compared to April - what should we expect?

I found on another site less than ideal visibility possible in July due to upwelling. Anyone experience this and is it as common as mentioned? " The water temperature in Bonaire ranges from 78 to 81 degrees. About three years out of every five, upwellings of cold, nutrient-rich water from the...

wow, looks like an ugly storm in Coz.. webcam

Despite the rain and wind we dove 24th - 28th and didn't miss a day of boat diving. Wednesday was rainy, didn't seem to end the dives short. We got a late start one of the days. Seas were "rough" yesterday at the end of second dive to some. Didn't phase us, a Cozumel "rough" day is like an...

    Scuba Club Cozumel Review

Question for you folks who have stayed at SCC already. Wife and I booked our trip and got the package in the mail. Can you night dive from the beach? Their document states that the dive center hours are 8AM-5:30PM and you need to check out a tank during those hours, but ambiguously states...

Will my wife be too hot in Coz in her 6.5mm wetsuit?

I'm bringing the 7 mm to Cozumel. Plan on diving 5 days and doing 2 boat dives, 2 shore dives a day, and cenote if a day gets blown out. I can see myself getting cold after a few days of 4 dives a day. Drift diving is much less work too unless you find yourself swimming against the current...

Is a trip from Coz to Chichen Itza worth it?

I went there last time with the wife. It was her idea as we have never seen it before. Personally the only thoughts going through my head were "I wish this was a dive boat" while on the ferry, and "I wish we were stopping here" as we passed by cenote's on the way to it. To make things worse I...

    Wet suit/Diveskin/Bathing suit???

Thank you, this answered my 7mm question I was about to ask. My wife and I also plan on doing probably 4 dives each day for 5 days, 2 boat dives in the morning then two shore dives at the Scuba Club beach, maybe afternoon and a night dive which will be shallower but longer duration most likely...
