OK. Sounds great. Now on to real life. I’m 6’6”. If I can touch the top of the backplate, the waist belt is just below my chest

I certainly won't discourage you from going out and getting a custom FredT. Don't know anyone who isnt' downright THRILLED with his stuff...

That said, 6'6" is little people... :wink: I'm 6'8" and wear a standard Halcyon SS BP with no problems. After my instructor and I adjusted the straps, the waist straps were sitting a couple of inches off my hips...pretty ok.

I would venture to guess that my waiststrap is there or even a tad lower...

P.S. - I *DID* have to order a custom crotch strap from Halycon. There was no way for me to get enough length in the strap and still have the d-rings positioned correctly...they obliged in less than a week... :)
